Colorado Springs weather: Wet and windy Tuesday, highs in the 60s
A double-digit drop in temperature is in the Tuesday forecast for Colorado Springs, according to Gazette news partner KOAA.
“Gusty north-northwest winds this morning will continue throughout much of the day as a series of cold fronts moves across southern Colorado,” Meteorologist Alan Rose said. “Highs today will be cooler as a result, only warming into the 60s in the Springs, Monument and Woodland Park, with 70s for Pueblo and Cañon City.”
The possibility of showers and thunderstorms will increase as the day progresses, Rose said.
“After the lunch hour, showers and thunderstorms will start to develop near the mountains and Pikes Peak region. These storms will spread east, and although some stronger storms will be possible, we’re not expecting today to be a severe weather day. Storms should come to an end around sunset, with chilly overnight temperatures to follow.”
