Colorado Springs residents will see unseasonably warm conditions, with variable winds and a chance of thunderstorms, according to Gazette news partner KOAA.

Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high of 77 degrees and wind gusts as high as 35 mph.

“Another warm day in the Pikes Peak Region, but with more active weather,” Meteorologist Casey Dorn said. “Skies start clear, and winds begin the day fairly light. As the low approaches, downslope breezes increase this afternoon with gusts of 30-35 mph. These southwest winds result in highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s this afternoon.”

Monday evening, as the temperature decreases, the chance of rain is expected to increase, with a 30% chance of rain overnight and a low of 43 degrees.

“Another round of storm energy arrives Tuesday, and with better moisture and energy profiles,” Dorn said. “We’ll see storms.”

Wednesday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 68. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south southeast in the afternoon.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 76. South-southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Friday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 69. North-northeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
