Fugitive arrested in unincorporated El Paso County
A fugitive with a violent past was arrested Tuesday in unincorporated El Paso County, according to a Colorado Springs police online blotter entry.
Corey Williams, 42, was arrested at a residence near the 6700 block of Phantom Way, near Marksheffel Road and Fontaine Boulevard. Williams was wanted by Colorado Springs police and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in three separate cases.
Williams was tracked from an apartment complex near Galley Road and Murray Boulevard to the Lorson Ranch neighborhood southeast of the city. The arrest involved several units including the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team.
He faces charges of first-degree assault, aggravated robbery and escape.
