Colorado Springs police are investigating a deadly shooting near Dorchester Park on Wednesday night, officials said.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired approximately at 9:30 p.m., near Interstate 25 and South Nevada Avenue, south of downtown Colorado Springs.

Upon arrival they found a man with life-threatening injuries, police said. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The victim’s name was not released. No suspect information was given.
