Colorado Springs residents should see a return to spring-like conditions following a weekend that included snow, sleet and rain, according to Gazette news partner KOAA.

“After rain Friday night, snow on Saturday and a few thunderstorms on Sunday, our work week will begin much quieter in southern Colorado,” Meteorologist Alan Rose said. “Here in the Pikes Peak region, we’ll see a mostly sunny to partly cloudy day, with a high in the upper 60s.”

“Monday night conditions are expected to be milder as well, with temperatures only dipping to the low 40s,” Rose said.

Tuesday will be windy and warmer, with gusts to 30 mph in the Pikes Peak Region during the afternoon.

“Our high Tuesday will warm into the middle 70s, with Wednesday only expected to be a few degrees cooler,” Rose said. “By Wednesday night our next cold front arrives. Behind the front, highs will cool back down to the mid 50s on Wednesday before rebounding to the 60s on Friday and Saturday.”

Wednesday: A 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 73. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 8am, then a slight chance of rain showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
