Colorado Springs Chinese Cultural Institute’s rescheduled Chinese New Year Festival is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Ent Center for the Arts, 5225 N. Cirque Italia brews up a seductive offering of paranormal and horror themes mixed with circus arts in “Paranormal Cirque.” You can expect all the death-defying stunts of traditional cirque with a supernatural tweak, such as the Wheel of Death. Comedian Mike Birbiglia stops by the Pikes Peak Center on Saturday with his new show “Thank God For Jokes.”
You might know Mike Birbiglia as the sleepwalking comedian. After a sleep behavior disorder caused him to jump from a second story window in 2005, he turned the incident into a one-man show, a comedy album and a 2012 film, “Sleepwalk With Me.” He’ll bring his new “Please Stop the Ride” standup tour to Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place, Denver.
