Dear Citizens of Woodland Park,

It’s with a spirit of service and community that I write to you today. For over two decades, I’ve dedicated my professional life to the betterment of our beloved Woodland Park. From the careful stewardship of our city’s finances to the deliberative policymaking as a City Councilmember and Mayor Pro-Tem, my journey has been one of deep commitment and heartfelt engagement with our community.

Now, as I stand on the precipice of possibly serving as your Mayor, I reflect on the path that has led me here. With a foundation in accounting and finance, my approach to governance has always been guided by a keen sense of fiscal responsibility and strategic foresight. I am proud of the contributions I’ve made — whether it was navigating complex budgetary challenges or fostering transparent and thoughtful dialogue among council members. My experience has afforded me a comprehensive understanding of our city’s unique needs. But beyond the professional expertise, it’s the personal ties that bind me to Woodland Park. As a sixth-generation Colorado native, my roots run as deep as the pines that adorn our scenic landscapes. This city isn’t just where I work; it’s home — a place I’ve had the pleasure of giving back to through volunteer work with several local nonprofit organizations, currently with the Ute Pass Symphony Guild/Symphony Above the Clouds.

In my dual role as a real estate entrepreneur and a public servant, I’ve seen the potential of Woodland Park through various lenses. Each viewpoint has reinforced my belief in our city’s promise and the strength of its people. Our community deserves leadership that is honest, responsive, and dedicated to the collective well-being. That is the leadership I intend to provide.

I’ve heard whispers of concern, suggestions that my ear may be tuned to special interests. Let me be clear: my special interests lie in the citizens of Woodland Park—all of them. My every decision has been and will always be calibrated to serve our community’s diverse voices and needs.
