Colorado Springs Weather: Mild start to the week with new snow rolling in at the weekend
Weather in the Colorado Springs area is expected to be sunny with a high near 41 according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
A north-northwest wind will be present today around 5-10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
A strong Pacific storm system will bring more snow to the higher terrain Tuesday through Thursday, with the Eastern San Juan Mountains and the La Garita Mountains expected to receive the heaviest snowfall.
A second, colder, system will bring another shot of mountain snow for Friday and Saturday.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 52. South wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 59. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 46. West wind around 15 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind around 10 mph.
