Southbound Powers temporarily closes due to flaming vehicle crash in Colorado Springs
A traffic accident on Powers Avenue north of Stetson Hills left one vehicle in flames and southbound lanes temporarily closed on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department reported on social media that a traffic accident occurring around 3 p.m. on North Powers Boulevard, leaving one car on fire. Two engines responded, as first responders closed southbound lanes of Powers for roughly 45 minutes.
Multiple fire engines and an ambulance responded to the scene. There was no immediate report as to injuries or the cause of the crash.
The accident was cleared and traffic lanes reopened around 4 p.m.
