Michael Gault Wins National Art Competition for November

Michael Gault was named a monthly winner of the 13th Annual PleinAir Salon Art Competition for November.

Gault was selected as the winner of the Water Category with their painting titled, “Cottonwood Reflections.” The judge for the November Competition was Master Artist, Skip Whitcomb.

Gault, along with the other 22 winners, is now entered into the Annual PleinAir Salon Art Competition that will be awarded in May 2024 at the Plein Air Convention & Expo. These artists will compete for a $15,000 cash grand prize, and for their painting to be featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. All of the November monthly winners will be included in a showcase in the Feb/Mar issue of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 best-selling representational art magazine nationwide.

Gault is a Colorado resident that graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1976 and from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1980. Gault has taught college art courses in Iowa, Missouri, and Colorado and has exhibited in galleries in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Florida and also in Paris France. Gault is represented by Reserve Our Gallery in Woodland Park and is a member of the Mountain Artists organization, in Woodland as well.
