2 injured in east Colorado Springs shooting, police say
Two people were hospitalized early Sunday following a shooting at a house party in east Colorado Springs, according to law enforcement officials.
Police did not release any suspect information in connection with the incident, which took place at about 12:30 a.m. No arrests were announced.
Officers responded to an emergency call about a shooting in the 5300 block of Kingscote Drive, just south of Galley Road, police said. A wounded man was taken to a nearby hospital.
Some time later, a second shooting victim — a juvenile male — showed up at an urgent care center. Both victims are expected to survive their wounds.
Witnesses told police that both victims were at a house party when a fight escalated into gunfire. No additional details were immediately available.
