Torchy’s Tacos, the Austin, Texas,-based fast-casual chain that expanded to Colorado Springs a little more than two years ago, will open a second location at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First & Main Town Center on the city’s northeast side.

Torchy’s will join Modern Market Eatery and a Sleep Number bed store at a new multitenant retail building at 3015 New Center Point at First & Main, southeast of Powers Boulevard and South Carefree Circle.

At Wednesday’s opening, the first 100 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Torchy’s Tacos Powers Opening T-Shirt; recipients will receive a year of free green chile queso each time they wear the shirt or bring it into the Powers location.

The first Torchy’s in the Springs opened in October 2021 at InterQuest Marketplace on the city’s north side.
