Numerous closures are in effect Monday for Interstate 70 due to dangerous winter weather conditions and safety hazards. 

One closure in place as of 11 a.m. on Monday is the stretch between Vail and Copper Mountain. Eastbound lanes between Silverthorne and the Eisenhower Johnson Tunnel were also closed.

Traffic can be seen backed up on CDOT cameras.

Loveland Pass and Berthoud Pass also remain closed as of Monday morning, with Berthoud Pass being the site of an avalanche came down on Sunday, hitting 10 vehicles.

US 40 in the Rabbit Ears Pass area near Steamboat Springs is also closed. The Million Dollar Highway is also closed. 

Monarch Pass on U.S. 50 is also closed for hazardous conditions. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the highway is closed between County Road 888 (14 miles west of Garfield) and County Road 240 (Maysville) from Mile Point 190 to Mile Point 210. 

According to Monarch Ski Area, which was open Monday, traffic officials are only allowing skiers ands snowboarders to leave going eastbound.
