A man was arrested after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into several other cars in an attempt to escape police on Sunday, according to Colorado Springs police.

Lazaro Garza, 32, faces several unspecified felony and misdemeanor charges, officials said.

Around 3:30 p.m., officers were trying to arrest Garza near the 800 block of South Circle Drive when he rammed into a police cruiser and tried to drive away. The suspect’s vehicle hit a second squad car and two civilian vehicles before his car became inoperable, police said. 

Officers arrested Garza and an unidentified female passenger who also had an active felony warrant.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
