Colorado Springs police are looking for at least two burglary suspects who reportedly fled officers in a stolen vehicle before abandoning the car early Sunday, according to law enforcement officials.

Just before 5 a.m., officers responded to a call about possible vehicle break-ins in the 9100 block of Crowne Springs View in northeast Colorado Springs, police said. When the officers found the suspects, they drove off in a vehicle, hitting a squad car in the process.

Not far from the original scene, police found the vehicle the suspects had been driving, but it had been abandoned. Guns and other items, which police suspect were stolen, were found inside the vehicle, according to CSPD.

Investigators suspect the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, had been involved in additional crimes.

No suspect information was given, and no arrests were announced.
