The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s electric safari is in the running for a national award. 

According to a press release from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the electric safari zoo lights experience is in nominated for the best zoo lights in North America, voted on by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards. 

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the only Colorado-based zoo nominated for the award. 

The press release states that the electric safari is currently third in voting. Readers can vote for the electric safari on USA Today’s website. Voting ends on Wednesday, Nov. 29. 

The electric safari will run at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo starting Dec. 1, tickets are available now at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s website. Advance tickets are required.
