The Colorado Springs Fire Department reported a vehicle fire in central Colorado Springs Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 1:40 p.m., CSFD said crews were on scene for a “fully involved” car fire at 433 E. Fillmore St., near the street’s intersection with North Nevada Avenue north of Old North End.

Medical crews were first to arrive on scene and had extinguished the blaze, which appeared to fully engulf the car, within two minutes, CSFD reported.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area until the scene had been cleared.
