A teenage boy’s alleged joyride in a stolen vehicle ended after he crashed into a Colorado Springs mobile home, according to Gazette news partner KKTV.

Early Sunday morning, around 3 a.m., police received reports of a reckless driver in the area of Chelton Road and Astrozon Boulevard, in southeast Colorado Springs, KKTV said. The crash at the Meadows Mobile Home park nearby was reported shortly thereafter. 

Police told the news station that the boy remained on scene with “pretty serious” lacerations from the crash and was taken to the hospital.

Residents of the impacted home said they had been sleeping when the vehicle hit one of them ;it’s the second time a car has hit their home, KKTV reported. 

A passenger believed to be a female under 18 years old fled the scene, KKTV reported.

Police told the station that the car was stolen, but did not provide further details.
