NEWS | Salvation Army preps free Thanksgiving meals for nearly 3,000 people

The Salvation Army in partnership with Fort Carson prepped and delivered meals for residents around the region on Thursday. According to Captain Doug Hanson, the El Paso County Salvation Army coordinator, approximately 3,000 meals were prepared. Food for the holiday was provided to the Culinary Academy of Fort Carson, which then cooked it and returned it to The Salvation Army for distribution at four locations.
