The Colorado Springs Fire Department extinguished a house fire that consumed a garage at 2012 Condor St., early Friday morning, firefighters tweeted.

Crews arrived at the house around midnight and saw flames consuming the front garage of the home, firefighters tweeted.

The blaze destroyed two cars and caused heavy smoke damage inside the home, firefighters told Gazette news partner KKTV.

Firefighters said the residents escaped without injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
