A motorcycle and a car collided in southeast Colorado Springs Saturday evening, closing down westbound traffic on Platte Avenue.

At around 7:45 p.m., Colorado Springs police and El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash in which at least one person was injured.

Originally all westbound traffic on Platte Avenue was closed, but at least one lane of travel was open as of 9:45 p.m. Police said officers were still on scene, and that drivers should avoid the area.
