Nearly 30 cattle were found dead on a rancher’s property near Schriever Air Force Base and Colorado 94 on Tuesday morning, deputies said.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the incident. Deputies determined there was no criminal activity involved in the livestock’s death.

A veterinarian was called to examine the cattle and run various tests to determine what caused the deaths.
