UPDATE: Fire burning near Rampart Range Road 75% contained
A fire that sparked near Rampart Range Road outside of Woodland Park was 75% contained on its fourth day.
The so-called 300 fire burned only 7 acres and was dampened by snow and rain Tuesday and Wednesday, the Pike & San Isabel National Forests reported. Containment improved from 10% the night the blaze began to 75% Thursday.
Crews will continue to monitor flames, which originated from a campfire.
The fire was not threatening any structures, the Forest Service said.
