Gold Resource starts work on Nevada mine

Colorado Springs-based Gold Resource Corp. began construction Monday on its Isabella Pearl open-pit, heap-leach gold project in Mineral County, Nev.

Ledcor Group began clearing the site to prepare for construction of the lead pad. Processing equipment, including the crushing plant, have been purchased and are stored nearby.

“This project is an important drive of Gold Resource Corp.’s growth profile, which includes targeting a more than 100 percent increase to our annual gold production from Isabella Pearl’s first full year of commercial production,” said Gold Resource CEO Jason Reid.
