Jim Bensberg, a former El Paso County commissioner from Colorado Springs, has been elected chair of the five-member Colorado Lottery Commission. He was appointed to the commission four years ago by Gov. John Hickenlooper. He owns Bensberg Business Consulting in the Springs and served as area director for former U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colorado, from 1997 to 2003. Bensberg has a bachelor’s degree in technical journalism from Colorado State University.
