Colorado Springs getting fish fry, new cooking classes and tasty radio show

Let the party begin. Fish Fry Fridays have returned in The Palmer Center at The Antlers, A Wyndham Hotel, 4 S. Cascade Ave. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 29, July 13 and 27, Aug. 10 and 24. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy live music, and spring $10 for fried fish, fries, soft drink or water.

New cooking school

Gather Food Studio, 2015 W. Colorado Ave., is brought to you by Cortney Smith and David Cook. Both had helped with classes at the recently closed Cooks Marketplace. The studio is in a cute cottage behind a house. A stone path passes by a vegetable garden and leads to the studio’s front porch. Details: 308-2992, gatherfoodstudio.com.

Tasty new show

KRDO Table Talk on KRDO News Radio, 105.5 FM, 1240 AM and 92.5 FM, hosted by yours truly, now airs at 1 p.m. Saturdays. The show features guests in the food business, from nonprofits advancing food benefits to chefs to authors announcing new cookbooks. Listen live at krdo.com or on demand at krdonewsradio.podbeam.com.
