Interim Workforce Center director in Colorado Springs tabbed for full-time job

Traci Marques, who served as interim executive director of the Pikes Peak Workforce Center since November, has been named to the position full time.

Marques was appointed this week by El Paso County Administrator Henry Yankowski; she will be paid $100,500 a year. Marques was deputy director when she replaced Lisa Rice, who left the job after about five months.

The Workforce Center, which is funded by federal grants, provides services to employers and job seekers in El Paso and Teller counties. In 2017, it served more than 39,000 clients.
