Palmer High School lockdown lifted after investigation of possible threat

8th Street water main break repairs expected to last through the evening

Palmer High School in downtown Colorado Springs was on lockdown Monday morning due to a possible threat, according to a tweet from Colorado Springs District 11.

The school, located at 301 N. Nevada Ave, went on lockdown while the district investigated the threat made by a current student, according to District 11 spokeswoman Devra Ashby.

The lockdown lasted less than two hours.

“The lockdown at Palmer is lifted. Students/staff remain safe,” the district tweeted.
