Six arrested after woman shot at in Colorado Springs parking lot
Six people were arrested Thursday after police say a woman was shot at in a southeast Colorado Springs parking lot.
Colorado Springs police say a woman got out of her car and someone fired two shots at her about 7 a.m. Thursday at El Vecino Apartments, near Circle Drive and Monterey Road. The suspect took off but officers say they were able to identify him and find his vehicle about 1 p.m. on the 2800 block of West Bijou Street.
Police conducted a “high risk” traffic stop and one of the people in the car was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, illegal weapons and drugs. The person police believed to be the shooter was not in the car but was arrested a few hours later.
In all, police say six people were arrested but officers did not specify the charges the individuals faced.
