Colorado Springs Planning Commission, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments looking for volunteers
The Colorado Springs Planning Commission needs volunteers to help review land-use proposals and legislative initiatives.
The City Council appoints members of the nine-member panel, which meets at 8:30 a.m. on the second and third Thursdays of each month at City Hall, 107 N. Nevada Ave., until all business is finished.
Also seeking volunteers is the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, which wants citizen perspectives on transportation, the environment and effects of military growth.
The regional metropolitan planning organization, which represents 16 city and county governments throughout the region, meets at 3 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month at 14 S. Chestnut St.
