Beginning 9 a.m. Thursday, Barnes Road, west of Oro Blanco, will be reduced to two lanes in each direction to allow crews to remove and replace the handrail and damaged concrete in the channel. The lane reduction will continue through the end of May.

The project will include concrete removal and replacement, handrail removal and replacement and rock slope protection, which is highly effective in hindering erosion.

Drivers should plan on taking alternate routes during the project. All construction activities are weather and resource dependent.
