Two men arrested in separate 7-Eleven heists
Police have arrested a suspect in a convenience store heist early Wednesday in Colorado Springs.
Anthony Jaquil Robinson, 22, is suspected of being one of two masked, armed men who entered a 7-Eleven in the 4600 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway about 12:30 a.m., demanded cash and then ran away with it.
Officers found Robinson walking in the area, and an ongoing investigation resulted in his arrest and attempts to identify the second suspect.
In an unrelated robbery of a 7-Eleven in the 1900 block of North Academy Boulevard, detectives arrested Justin Kyle Leonard, 29, on Tuesday. A masked man brandishing a handgun also demanded cash at that store March 22. When the clerk wouldn’t comply, he was shot in the foot as the robber ran to a getaway vehicle.
