With Tuesday’s snow storm falling across the Pikes Peak region and forcing school districts to close, numerous spring sporting events also fell victim to the storm, including the girls’ golf Indian Invitational, which was supposed to be the first round of competitive golf for several area teams.

The tournament, hosted by Cheyenne Mountain, was postponed until May 1 at the Country Club of Colorado, according to the Pikes Peak Athletic Conference’s website.

The storm also canceled a full slate of 4A and 5A Colorado Springs Metro League games, as well as 5A/4A PPAC games.
