Affidavit: Recovered torso of Boulder’s Ashley Mead was missing its organs
The remains of slain Boulder woman Ashley Mead that were recovered in Oklahoma last month consisted only of a human torso missing all of its organs, according to an arrest affidavit unsealed Friday.
Adam Densmore, 32, was charged with first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse in the death of his ex-girlfriend Mead, who police believe was killed in Boulder and then dismembered in Louisiana.
In a brief phone conversation with police before his arrest, Densmore admitted that he and Mead had “the worst argument they had ever had,” and said he told Mead, “I hate you and I hope you die,” according to the affidavit.
But Densmore said Mead was still alive when he left their Boulder apartment on the night of Feb. 12 with their 1-year-old daughter Winter.
