Colorado-based Boston Market to only serve antibiotic-free chicken

Golden-based Boston Market plans to only serve chicken that is antibiotic-free by 2018, making it the third national chain based out of Colorado this year to announce updated practices for the chicken served to customers.

“We couldn’t be more proud to become the first national chicken-specialty chain to reach the goal of serving our customers 100 percent antibiotic-free chicken by early next year,” CEO George Michel said in a statement.

The chain says 75 percent of its rotisserie chickens will be raised without antibiotics by July, growing to 100 percent antibiotic-free by the end of the first quarter 2018.
