(courtesy photo)John Vincent Knudsen Age: 56 Incident Date: Wednesday August 15, 2012 The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds, and was likely attacked where he was found on the Santa Fe Trail. Victim was a transient with a campsite along the same trail, about 3/4 of a mile away. A blue bicycle and a dog found nearby were believed to belong to the victim. Learn more about this case at colorado.gov.Johnnie Carlos Martinez Age: 47 Incident Date: September 14, 2011 Victim was homeless and frequented Dorchester Park on S. Nevada Ave. The victim was reported to have been sleeping on the playground equipment when he was awakened and beaten about the face by two men he did not know. Learn more about this case at colorado.gov.Greg Carter Age: 43 Incident Date: December 22, 2009 Carter suffered from a traumatic brain injury, possibly caused by a beer bottle. It was determined from the investigation that Carter had returned from his residence the night of December 22, 2009 and was acting odd. Learn more about this case at colorado.gov.Renan Garcia-Leon Age: 43 Incident Date: August 9, 2008 Colorado Springs Police Department responded to the parking lot of El Dorado Apartments and found Leon sitting in the driver seat of his vehicle, unconscious and bleeding from two apparent stab wounds. Learn more about this case at colorado.gov.William Lee Dieckmann Age: 32 Incident Date: November 29, 2006 Colorado Springs Police Department patrol officers responded to a report of an unconscious man laying next to a bus bench at the intersection of Mallard Drive and Teal Court and discovered Dieckmann had been shot.
