Fire danger rises along Colorado’s Front Range
Several wildfires broke out in northeastern Colorado on Monday, and unseasonably warm, windy weather could spark an additional round of fires Tuesday.
The National Weather Service posted a red-flag warning for fire danger for northeastern Colorado on Tuesday, including along the Front Range — from the Wyoming state line to south of Castle Rock — and the entire Denver area. The warning goes into effect at 11 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The warning area also includes the entire eastern portion of the state, from Julesburg in the northeast to Springfield in the southeast. The Interstate 70 corridor from the foothills to Kansas is under the widespread warning.Read more at denverpost.com
