Woman shot in the back while driving in apparent road rage incident
Colorado Springs police believe a road-rage incident led to a woman being shot in the back while she was driving on a busy road.
The shooting happened about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday on the 1300 block of Dublin Boulevard in the northeast part of the city.
Police say the woman called 911 to say she had been driving when a motorist in the vehicle behind her opened fire. When officers arrived, investigators say, they found the woman with a gunshot wound to her back. She was taken to a local hospital where she was treated. Her wound was not life-threatening.
