Colorado teen dies after he was shot by friend two days before Christmas
A Jefferson County teenager who was shot two days before Christmas, allegedly by a friend, has died, the sheriff’s office announced Monday.
The 14-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon inside a house near West Bowles Place and South Simms Street. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
A 15-year-old ran from the house and was later found about 2 miles away, a Jefferson County sheriff’s spokesman said. That teen, whom authorities have described as a friend, was taken into custody for suspicion of assault.
