Billy Bush, the NBC “Today” anchor who was featured in a resurfaced 2005 video showing him engaged in a vulgar conversation with Donald Trump, is exiting his role at the network, according to a report.

On Tuesday, the Hollywood Reporter said Bush and NBC “are negotiating his exit from NBC News,” citing anonymous sources.

CNN media reporter Brian Stelter also said on-air Tuesday that it is a matter of “when” and not “if” Bush is to leave NBC.

Bush was seen in the video laughing at crude remarks Trump made about women. He also commented on the looks of a woman who was about to greet Trump on the set of a soap opera show and facilitated a hug between the woman and Trump, following Trump’s vulgar remarks.

Bush was at the time a celebrity gossip news show anchor.

On Sunday, NBC said it was suspending Bush indefinitely.

Bush apologized Friday for the comments he made in the video, saying he was “embarrassed and ashamed.” In a statement, he said, “It’s no excuse, but this happened 11 years ago — I was younger, less mature and acted foolishly in playing along. I’m very sorry.”
