Fort Carson set to hold late-night Afghanistan homecoming ceremony

Fort Carson will hold a homecoming ceremony early Saturday morning for roughly 155 soldiers returning from Afghanistan, the post announced Friday.

The event is scheduled for 12:30 a.m. at the William Reed Special Events Center, the post said.

The soldiers of the 4th Infantry Division’s 4th Combat Aviation Brigade deployed in December to Afghanistan as part of a “regular rotation of forces” to support mission requirements for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, the post said.
