Koch brothers hold political donor retreat in Colorado Springs this weekend
The nation’s top conservative donors will gather this weekend in Colorado Springs as part of a political retreat hosted by Charles and David Koch that will draw top Republican leaders.
The biannual Freedom Partners seminar starts Saturday at The Broadmoor, a day after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump attends a fundraiser and campaign event miles down the road at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. The three-day conference is expected to draw several hundred people from across the country.
Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner is confirmed to attend part of the event, according to a spokesman. Republican U.S. Senate candidate Darryl Glenn, who lives in Colorado Springs, is not attending, his campaign said.
