This could be the start of a beautiful friendship!

A sweet encounter between a young girl and a baby gorilla was caught on camera at the Fort Worth Zooin Texas earlier this week.

In a photo posted on the zoo’s Facebook page on May 23, a young girl named Braylee stands with her hands pressed against the glass at the zoo. On the other side of the glass, the zoo’s baby gorilla, Gus, holds his hands up to meet Braylee’s and stares up into her face.

“As he gets older, Gus is exploring more and more of the world around him, which includes encounters with new friends like Braylee of Fort Worth,” the zoo said in a Facebook post.
