A man police believe was stabbed told them he was injured falling onto a pile of rocks.

Police officers found Dana Rose, 35, around 6:45 a.m. Sunday on the sidewalk in front of a house in the 2500 block of Concord Street a few blocks south of Fillmore Street in central Colorado Springs.

Rose told police he fell on some rocks while leaving a friend’s house, causing puncture wounds to his back.

Rose could not identify the house or the friend, police said.

Police said Rose had four stab wounds that were not life-threatening.
