3 restaurants to try this weekend around Colorado Springs
Here are the three restaurants to consider trying this weekend and recent dining reviews from The Gazette:
1) La Tartine French Bistro
I enjoyed my food at La Tartine French Bistro Cafe, and I also liked the clientele and the friendly nature of those I encountered.
My dining companions and I needed some time to peruse the menu near the counter. When a couple lined up behind us, we quickly urged them to go ahead of us. The gentleman said everything was good and if we really couldn’t decide we should start with a pastry from the display case.
Address: 1420 Kelly Johnson Blvd.
2) Nourish Organic Juice
If you walk into Nourish Organic Juice expecting a cliché, you’re going to get it. Blenders whirring, juicers humming and an occasional wheat-grass shot thrown back – this is one of the healthiest spots in town.
Nourish does, indeed, fit the uber-green, granola stereotype of veganism. And thank goodness for that.
Address: 303 E. Pikes Peak Ave.
3) McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub
If I had a gallon of gas for every time I drove past McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub, I’d have a fleet of cars with full tanks.
It’s the kind of place you usually see out of the corner of your eye while heading east or west on U.S. 24 from Divide, but the food served at this mountain crossroads warrants your full attention.
Address: 11115 U.S. 24, Divide
