Rockies to raise outfield fences at Coors Field
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — After years of watching home runs fly out of Coors Field at a heightened clip, the Rockies on Tuesday said they will raise the outfield fences to knock the longballs down.
The Rockies will raise the outfield fence between right-center and right field by 8 feet. The new fence will sit in front of the visiting and home bullpens, as an open fence, and will not block any seats.
