Hillary Clinton campaign opens offices in Denver, Colorado Springs
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign team opened offices in Denver and Colorado Springs on Tuesday afternoon, ramping up volunteer efforts before the March 1 caucus in Colorado.
Clinton won by a thin margin in the Iowa caucuses and Colorado will be pivotal if Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., can keep the race headed into Super Tuesday when Colorado and 14 other states hold their caucuses and primaries. Sanders is expected to win the New Hampshire primary Tuesday.
The offices will serve as headquarters for volunteer efforts like phone banks. The Colorado Springs office is northeast of downtown at 2217 E. Boulder St., and the Denver office is in the Highland neighborhood at 2525 16th St.
Clinton’s team also plans to open eight other offices across the state in Aurora, Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont, Pueblo, Sheridan, Westminster and Wheat Ridge.
