Police using pepper spray in downtown Denver; numerous street closures
Denver police have closed streets in and leading into downtown Denver following the Denver Broncos win in Super Bowl 50 and are using pepper spray on some in crowd.
Police were using batons to move crowds up the 16th Street Mall from about Champa Street.
Numerous police officers donned riot gear following the game and there were reports that police had used pepper spray against some people. A window on a police cruiser was shattered at 16th and Stout streets.
Numerous streets are closed in the area surrounding of 20th and Market streets. Police have also closed 15th Street through downtown. The Interstate 25 off ramps onto 20th Street, 23rd Avenue, Speer Boulevard and Park Avenue are also closed.
