Air Force freshman Shane Starrett is the Atlantic Hockey Conference goaltender of the week after allowing only one goal in a 1-0-1 weekend at service academy rival Army last weekend.

Starrett made 23 saves last Friday to garner his first career shutout in a 1-0 victory. He made 26 stops in a 1-1 overtime tie the next night.

The Bellingham, Mass., native (6-7-3, 2.38 goals against, .911 saves percentage) stopped 49 of 50 shots faced for a .980 percentage for the weekend.

The conference honor is the third for Starrett and the sixth for Air Force this season.
