CC hockey adds commit from BCHL forward Nick Halloran

Trail Smoke Eaters forward Nick Halloran became the second Colorado Rampage club alumnus to commit to Colorado College.

The Draper, Utah native announced his decision on Sunday night. He is scheduled to join the National Collegiate Hockey Conference program this fall, he said. If so, he will likely sign this spring.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward has 31 points (16 goals) in 36 British Columbia Hockey League games this season. He played two seasons for the Rampage (U16 and U18) with a combined 67 points (48 assists). He also played a season with the Denver-area Colorado Thunderbirds.

He is the younger brother of former Air Force defenseman Alex Halloran and a former linemate of CC signee AJ Vanderbeck (scheduled 2016 arrival).

His time in Colorado was a big factor in his decision. He lived with his mother in Colorado for two seasons before moving in with a Colorado Spirngs billet family his final season with the Rampage.

“(My) parents are very excited,” he said via Twitter. “The coaching staff, the facilities, and the school were all top notch.”
